BESS – A Reason for Concern
There are currently 838 Utility Scale Battery Energy Storage Projects (BESS) in the United States as of October 2025.
There have been over 141 BESS incidents reported and documented as of 2024 – with hundreds more no doubt not officially documented.
It is especially alarming that there has been a sharp increase in incidents are brand new systems like those moving into neighborhoods all over Michigan.
